글로벌 패션산업의 현황과 그 속에서 패션소재의 역할에 대한 강의로, 실제 브랜드의 상품개발을 위해 고기능성 패션신소재를 개발하고 적절히 활용할 수 있도록 하기 위해 학생들은 다양한 기능성 신소재들의 기본 원리와 성능 평가방법을 이해하며, 더 나아가 다양한 신소재를 활용한 패션의 의복환경 쾌적성을 과학적으로 평가하는 방법을 익힌다.

Course emphasizes commercially available new Hi-tech textiles and its applications, focusing on specialized functionality and high-performance apparel for global fashion industry . This course takes an analytical and scientific approach to applications of advanced functional textiles in relation to clothing environment and performance evaluation, and students study issues and requirements related to comfortabiliy. Aesthetics, performance, and cost/price relationships are also emphasized.
