국가는 문화예술을 어떠한 방식으로 지원하는가? 국가가 문화예술을 지원해야 하는 이유와 지원방식의 특수성에 대한 이해가 필요하다. 「문화예술정책 및 법제」는 문화예술정책의 이론적 기초와 문화예술 관련 법제를 이해하고, 국내외 정책의 현황과 최신 동향을 분석하는 교과목이다. 팔길이 원칙, 문화예술 지원유형, 문화예술의 효과 등 문화정책에 관한 기초적인 이해를 토대로 예술진흥정책, 예술복지정책, 공연예술정책, 콘텐츠산업정책, 문화향유정책(문화복지, 생활문화정책) 등을 다룬다. 관련 문화예술정책 현황과 문제점을 파악하고, 해외 사례를 비교, 국내 현장전문가의 견해들을 토대로 하는 텍스트들을 중심으로 문화예술정책의 대안을 모색하는 토론이 진행된다.

How does the state support cultural arts? It is necessary to understand why the nation should support cultural arts and the special nature of the support methods. "Culture and Art Policy and Legislation" is a subject that understands the theoretical basis of cultural and arts policy and the legislation related to culture and arts, and analyzes the current state and current trends of domestic and foreign policies. Based on basic understanding of cultural policies such as the principle of arm-length, type of support for culture and arts, and the effects of culture and arts, the government will deal with arts promotion policies, arts and welfare policies, performing arts policies, content industry policies, and cultural and cultural policies (cultural welfare, life and culture policies).
