본 수업을 통해 생활 환경과 이를 이루는 제품을 종합적으로 이해하고 그동안 학습한 모든 역량과 기술을 활용하여 디자인 실무를 수행한다. 동시에 사회에 처음 진출하는 디자이너로서 앞으로 무한경쟁의 사회 속에서 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있도록 아이덴티티와 전문성을 발전시키는 것을 목적으로 한다
