도시의 발달과정과 기능을 이해하고, 도시화의 과정과 도시화에 따른 제반 문제를 분석한다. 나아가 자치단체로서의 도시정부의 역할 및 광역행정정반에 관한 이해를 도모한다. 또한 지방자치제, 지방자치단체의 구성과 운영에 대하여 연구한다. 지방자치제의 의미와 발달과정 및 기본적 요소, 지방자치단체의 관리, 정부간 관계 등에 대한 지식을 습득하고 우리나라에서의 지방자치제를 발달시키고 자치단체를 효율적으로 운영하는 방안을 모색한다.
교과목해설(영문)
The course explores current perspectives and techniques in the analysis of state and urban policies. It also examines concepts and methods in policy analysis as a general field of inquiry. And The course introduces the political perspective of understanding the basic concepts of local governance in the Korea with a foundation of its historical developments. The focus is on the Local Government units administration, powers, authority, and the present thrusts and developments in the local government units.
